Pro's
- Grows best in moist and fairly fertile soils
- It’s more successful in warmer temperatures
- Most shade tolerant
- Loves Nitrogen
- Dark Green in color
- Does well against weeds and other grasses
- Requires moderate levels of maintenance, mowing twice a month
- Potassium has been proven to increase the growth of roots and help with both the drought and cold tolerance.
Con's
- Cannot take COLD WEATHER very “susceptible to winter kill”
- Cannot take any traffic
- Not drought tolerant, requires supplemental irrigation
- Chinch bugs love it and can kill yard if not treated
- Pests include white grubs, mole crickets, and brown patch
- NO GRASS CAN TAKE FULL SHADE
